Privacy Policy
For the Chrome extension GPT-6.1 Workspace: AI Chat Assistant and the website gpt-workspace-ai.com. Effective date and last updated: November 1, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the Chrome extension GPT-6.1 Workspace: AI Chat Assistant (“GPT-6.1 Workspace”, “the extension”, “we”) collects, how it is used, shared, stored and deleted, and how Google user data is handled. Short version: we don't sell data, we don't run ads or analytics, and we don't store your content on our servers.
Summary
- No account is needed. Connecting a Google account is optional — only if you want GPT-6.1 Workspace to edit your Google Sheets, Docs and Slides directly.
- Content (your question and the email, document, sheet, page, file or screenshot you choose to include) is sent to our server and to the AI provider only to generate the answer, and is not stored by us.
- Pages and Google files are read only when you ask — never in the background.
- Your chat history, assistants and settings stay in your browser. You can delete everything from the extension menu.
- Our server keeps only an anonymous install ID, a hashed extension key, the extension version and daily request counters.
1. Who we are
GPT-6.1 Workspace: AI Chat Assistant is a Chrome extension published in the Chrome Web Store by Tamara Lapatavenia (the developer). Contact: tamaralapatovene@gmail.com.
2. Data we process
| Data | When | Why | Stored by us? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your messages, prompts and chosen assistant instructions | When you send a message or click an action | To generate the answer | No |
| Content of the current email thread, Google Doc, Sheet, Slides deck, Drive view or web page; selected text | Only when you include it (page chip, action buttons, in-page bar, context menu) | To answer about it or edit it | No |
| Files and images you attach, area screenshots | When you attach them or take a screenshot | To answer about them | No |
| Image prompts and generated images | When you use image generation | To create the image | No |
| Voice input | While voice input is on | Speech-to-text by your browser's built-in speech recognition (provided by your browser vendor) | No |
| Google account email address and Google access token (only if you connect Google) | When you connect Google and when you ask to edit the open file | To read and edit that file through Google's official APIs | No — kept only in your browser; the token is sent only to Google |
| Anonymous install ID, hashed extension key (a random key the extension uses to connect to our server — not a Google token), extension version, daily request counters | First request and each request | Fair-use limits and abuse protection | Yes, until you delete your data or stop using the extension |
We don't collect your name, browsing history, location or payment information. The email address of a Google account you choose to connect stays in your browser.
3. How we use data
We use the data above only to provide the features you ask for (answering questions, preparing replies and edits, generating images), to apply fair-use daily limits and to protect the service from abuse. We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, selling or training AI models, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the extension's features.
4. Data stored only in your browser
Chat history (including generated images), custom assistants and settings are stored with chrome.storage.local on your device. Use “Clear chat history” or “Delete all my data” in the extension menu, or uninstall the extension, to remove them.
5. Sharing and service providers
- OpenRouter routes AI requests to model providers such as OpenAI (GPT-6.1 models and image models) and, as a fallback for images, Google. They process the content to return a response under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Railway hosts our API server and its database (counters only).
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share data only with the providers listed above, solely to provide the service, or if required by law. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no remote code.
6. Browser permissions
sidePanel— shows the assistant next to the page.storage, unlimitedStorage— keep chats, images and settings locally on your device.contextMenus— “GPT-6.1 Workspace” actions when you right-click selected text or a page.scripting, activeTab— read the current page or insert an answer into it when you ask.clipboardWrite— copy answers and paste them into Google Docs and Sheets.identity— the Google sign-in window when you choose “Connect Google” (optional).- Access to mail.google.com, docs.google.com, drive.google.com and googleusercontent.com — show the AI buttons and bars there and read the open file through your existing browser session when you ask (exports of Docs, Sheets and Slides may be served from googleusercontent.com).
- Optional access to other sites — requested only when you ask about a page on that site, or once for area screenshots.
7. Google user data and Limited Use
Connecting a Google account is optional. If you choose “Connect Google”, Google asks you to allow GPT-6.1 Workspace: AI Chat Assistant to see your email address and to view and edit your Google Sheets, Docs and Slides. We use this access only when you ask GPT-6.1 Workspace to work on the file open in your browser: the extension reads that file, sends its content with your request to our server and the AI provider to prepare the edits, and writes the requested changes into that file. You see what was changed and can undo it with one click.
GPT-6.1 Workspace: AI Chat Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of information received from your browser adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Scopes requested
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email— see your email address, to show which account is connected.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets— view and edit the open Google Sheets spreadsheet, only when you ask for an edit.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/documents— view and edit the open Google Docs document, only when you ask for an edit.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/presentations— view and edit the open Google Slides presentation, only when you ask for an edit.
Data accessed
Your Google account email address (scope userinfo.email) and the content of the single Google Sheets spreadsheet, Google Docs document or Google Slides presentation you have open when you make a request (scopes spreadsheets, documents, presentations). We do not access Gmail, Drive file lists, contacts, calendar or any other Google data through Google APIs.
How we use it
Only to provide the feature you asked for — read the open file, prepare the requested change with AI, write it into that same file and let you undo it — and to show which account is connected. We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, selling, training or improving AI models, or any purpose unrelated to the feature you requested.
With whom we share it
The content of the open file and your request are sent over HTTPS to our API server (hosted on Railway) and from there to our AI provider OpenRouter and the model provider it routes to (OpenAI), solely to generate the requested edit. We do not sell, rent or otherwise transfer Google user data to anyone else, except if required by law.
Storage and protection
Your Google access token and email stay in your browser's extension storage and the token is sent only to Google. File content is processed in memory on our server, is never written to a database or logs, and all transfers use HTTPS (TLS encryption). Only the extension running in your browser can call Google APIs on your behalf.
Retention and deletion
We keep no copy of your Google user data after the response is returned. You can remove the token and email at any time with “Disconnect Google” in the extension menu, by uninstalling the extension, or by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. For any request contact tamaralapatovene@gmail.com.
Human access
We don't let humans read your Google user data, except with your explicit consent, for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), or to comply with applicable law.
No AI training
Data obtained through Google APIs is not used, and will not be used, to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.
Prohibited use
Google APIs are used only to edit the user's own Sheets, Docs and Slides at their request. Using GPT-6.1 Workspace to create non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), sexual imagery of real people or any other harmful or illegal content is strictly prohibited by our Terms of Use.
8. Retention and deletion
Content is processed in memory and discarded after the response. The anonymous install record and counters are deleted when you choose “Delete all my data” in the extension menu; daily counters older than 90 days may be removed at any time.
9. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. The AI provider key lives only on our server. Extension keys are stored on the server only as hashes. Your Google token never reaches our server.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct or delete data. Because we don't keep your content, “Delete all my data” in the extension menu removes everything we hold about your install. For questions, contact tamaralapatovene@gmail.com.
11. Children
The extension is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when practices change and adjust the “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be shown in the extension.
13. This website
This website (gpt-workspace-ai.com) is a static site. It doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or third-party embeds — images are served from this domain. Like any web server, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time) for security and reliability. We don't use them to identify or profile visitors.
